Accessible from both Bishopsgate and Exchange square, ‘Eataly at 135 Bishopsgate’ is with a workspace of ‘48,000 sq ft’, the world’s largest Italian food market and the UK’s biggest stand-alone food hall offering the finest Italian produce sitting alongside take-away eateries and the new alfresco dining concept, La Terrazza di Eataly.
The newly refurbished building will provide 38,000 ft2 on the ground and first levels and will open-up to the Bishopsgate arcade.
On the upper levels, the refurbishment maintains the massing and iconic 1980s Bishopsgate elevations, introducing high level green spaces and terraces along with a comprehensive upgrade of the office space and reception.
The complex also houses an extensive wine cellar and education facilities such as food production laboratories and a cooking school.
Eataly CEO, Nicola Farinetti said: ‘Eataly was founded with a vision to bring the biodiversity, craft and different layers of culinary experiences of Italy together under one roof, under our motto of “Eat, Shop, Learn”.
