Croydon University Hospital: MEP design for a new passenger lift and associated building envelope works. Croydon University Hospital is a 670-bedteaching hospital located in South London. A new lift is required to serve the ground, first and second floors of the London Wing, reducing the load on the existing lifts in the building. A new corridor link will also be provided between the London and Jubilee Wings to allow easier access between departments. Banyards have been engaged by the contractor to provide designs for all the new services associated with the works.
Darley Dene Primary School: MEP design for the refurbishment of the school kitchen and pupil toilets in the Early Years classrooms. Darley Dene is a single form of entry primary school, taking 30 children per year group from Reception up to Year 6. The Kitchen will be remodelled to provide additional storage for the adjacent dining room as well as providing all new food preparation facilities. Other works in the school will include refurbishing the existing toilet facilities for the Nursery and Reception classrooms to provide bright and clean facilities for the pupils. Banyards have been appointed as MEP designers as part of the same design team that has recently completed designs for two other schools in the South East.
