The project comprised the reworking of two existing adjacent 2-person offices to create a new 6-person office, within an occupied floor (building is occupied 24/7).
The engineering services works comprised the isolation and safe disconnection of concealed services to facilitate the demolition of the separation wall, rebalancing and recommissioning of the primary fresh air to the enlarged room, connection of the two fan coil units in a master slave configuration to work from one room controller, conversion of the existing luminaires to an LED source, recommissioning the lighting to the enlarged room to work from one retractive switch and the existing PIR’s, linking the fan coil operation to the lighting occupancy controls, extension and amendment of the small power, Fire Alarms and sprinkler installations to suit the new layout. The works were carried out outside of normal hours during the week and at weekends.
