One Hyde Park
One Hyde Park is a luxurious modern residential development in the heart of Knightsbridge, Central London, UK. The development consists of 86 apartments and three boutiques. The apartments are being built on the former site of Bowater House, constructed during the 1950s.
Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the development has won several design awards including Best Apartment London and Best Interior Design at the UK Property Awards in 2007 and the Best Luxury Home at the Evening Standard Homes Awards.
The development includes 65,000m² of residential and retail space. Construction on the project began in 2006 and the project’s developers expect the penthouse of One Hyde Park to be priced at £100m.
Banyards have been appointed by Peel Land and Property Group as their Commissioning Validation Engineers for The Lightbox residential scheme, located in MediaCityUK, Salford Quays.
The luxury development will offer 238 apartments across a 19-storey building, made up of studio, one, two and three bed apartments, all boasting breath-taking views over MediaCityUK, the Quays and Manchester’s skyline.
The sophisticated apartments will come with contemporary styled interiors and high-tech services. Banyards' responsibilities include verifying and witnessing the commissioning of all the mechanical and electrical services incorporated in the building and certifying when the building services have been demonstrated to comply with the performance requirements and design. Completion of the scheme is anticipated for the first quarter 2019.
Vita student village - York
Banyards have been engaged by Wates Construction as their Commissioning Managers on the redevelopment of a site of historic significance just outside York’s city wall.
The landmark site is being redeveloped as a Vita student village and includes the refurbishment of a former ‘listed’ convent building.
The 6.3-acre site, within walking distance of the city centre, will offer 649 beds to accommodate the city’s growing student population. The design includes the sensitive refurbishment of the existing convent to provide student accommodation and ancillary facilities and the construction of a 2-storey infirmary wing extension. An additional 14 three and four-storey buildings with a total developed area of over 200,000sqft will be constructed within extensive landscaped grounds included in the scheme.
