Banyards - Early Adopters of ISO 45001

Banner45001.jpgThe new international ISO 45001 standard replaces OHSAS 18001 and sets out best practice for those organizations who wish to create a successful Health and Safety Management System.

The development of the standard takes into account today’s business requirements, not just looking at safety but also physical and mental health, organisational behaviour and company culture and at the effectiveness of internal communications to see if key health and safety messages are getting across.

David Cocksedge said “To achieve compliance to this new standard is a great achievement for us as it firmly demonstrates the emphasis, importance and commitment we place on health and safety across our businesses. This certification underpins one of our core values ‘Safe People’ and enables our staff, clients and supply chain to continually improve.”
