Banyard Consulting working with GVA Grimley at Charterhouse School
Banyard Consulting have been appointed to design and supervise the services for the refurbishment of the main dining block at Charterhouse School in Surrey.
Working with GVA Grimley the scope of works includes:
- Forming a new dining room incorporating wind-driven natural ventilation
- New staff welfare facilities
- New dry storage
- Replacement of existing heating plant with high-efficiency gas-fired boilers
- Replacement of existing water heaters with high-efficiency gas-fired water heaters
- Options for solar water heating and CHP
- Replacement high-efficiency lighting
- Conversion of domestic water to a fully pressurised system
- Revision of existing lighting and power
Installation work to be carried out in phases during Easter to Summer 2010 in order to maintain the kitchen and dining room open for normal business. Shutdowns are limited to 1 week at Easter and 1½ weeks in August.
