Banyard Maintenance sponsors Chris Hunt at the Army Cycling Unions Enduro event.
Organised by the Army Cycling Union, this one off Enduro event was held on MOD land in Mychett. Individuals and pairs were required to complete as many laps of the cross country coarse as possible, with in a set period of time. The competition was fierce due to the event drawing a large number of both professional and armature riders.
“I took part in the 2 hour event and completed 3 laps in 2 hours 15 seconds. I finished in 2nd place with an Elite rider, riding for Mountain Trax a local bike shop, some way ahead of me. In 3rd place was an unsponsored rider and 9 mins down was a rider riding for XCracer.com and in 5th Owens Cycles.
The course was very dry and dusty with the recent hot weather. The climbs were short and sharp and the course technical, a lot of tight twisting bends, all of which suited me.”
