Act now on R22 - Phase-out

In less than 6 months, under the new terms of the Refrigerant Legislation it will be unlawful to use Virgin R22 to top up your refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment. All stocks of Virgin R22 will be obsolete from 1st of January 2010.

The use of recycled R22 in the maintenance and servicing of your refrigeration and air conditioning equipment will only be permitted until 1st of January 2015. However, with large corporations already stock piling recycled R22 the price will rise and availability will diminish.

In most cases ISCEON® MO99 requires no change of lubricant and minimal engineering work, enabling you to retain your existing equipment while fulfilling your environmental responsibility.

DuPont’s ISCEON® MO99 is one of the most effective retrofit replacements on the market. Specifically for DX Water Chillers, it enables continued use of existing equipment and can be topped up during service without removing the entire refrigerant charge. The performance in both cooling capacity and energy efficiency is very similar to R22 and MO99 is classified as A1 in accordance with ASHRAE standard 34.
