The Composting Company
In 2008, The Composting Company, the largest in-vessel composting facility in Europe, completed a programme involving over £3m worth of improvements at its Harefield site.
The Uxbridge-based company doubled the number of vessels with which it could compost green waste from 16 to 32 - raising its capacity from 50,000 tonnes to 100,000 tonne a year. Banyard Consultants were employed to advise on the design ventilation and control system for this ambitious plant. Our sister company, Banyard Consultants were employed to undertake air volume and pressure trials on a reduced size plant to confirm fan selections.
