In November 1987, Paul Banyard and Nick Till founded Paul Banyard and Associates due to an increasing demand for their expertise and experience as Commissioning Specialists in the building services industry.

With the continued increase in the content and complexity of engineering services within the construction and refurbishment trades, Banyard Associates has expanded into a complement of companies known as The Banyard Group and is well established and respected throughout the industry.

This expansion of the company incorporates Banyard Consulting Limited (formerly The Lawrence Hewitt Partnership), Banyard Maintenance Limited, and  Banyard Solutions Limited, enabling The Banyard Group to offer a complete range of services which include: M&E Design Services, Feasibility Studies, Validation, Commissioning Management, Environmental Investigations, Client Training, M&E Maintenance and e-permit software (an electronic health and safety application which won the 2005 Building Magazine and HSE award for best Health and Safety Initiative.)

The Banyard Group places particular emphasis on the need for teamwork, including the close involvement of the Client in formulating the successful commissioning of a project. The Group is proud of the excellent long-term working relationships it has established with many of its Clients.
